What a beautiful Sunday morning! About to finish our breakfast, around the table, Ardi was trying to get the mini-magazine of Dana. Maybe because of the photos he likes to see. We convinced Dana to let him borrow, but she resisted. After eating, I looked for something to focus his attention to, instead of getting what his Ate likes to browse. I found this booklet, a kids' colorful version of Four Spiritual Laws (4SL).
Ardi loves to listen when I'm reading to him bible and adventure stories. So I did go through sharing the 4SL Kids booklet with him too. Dana was observing and asking questions from time to time like what was inside the gift.
As I was sharing this to them, I was likewise observing how they are absorbing the simple message. When I asked them, "What life do you want?", each of them pointed out to the right picture - a life with God. So encouraging!
And when we reached the page on prayer, they nodded their heads to my question, "Do you agree with this prayer?"
Then, I led them in prayer word for word. Our seriousness broke when we reached a portion that says..."I open the door..." because when I said, "I..." Ardi immediately followed by saying, "...I ...love.... You...Daddy!" Haha! I would always say "I love you" to him and so it was an automatic response that when I say, "I...", he knows what to say next.
I know Ardi is too young to comprehend what I have been sharing to him, but I know God is at work and the seed, God's word, is planted in his heart as early as now.
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart. -Hebrews 4:12
