Our Role is to Simply Step Out in Faith

I was with Belly, my NST trainee six years ago. We went together for a faith adventure of sharing the gospel and trusting Jesus for those persons whom He is already at work to help fulfill the Great Commission in campuses of the unibelt area.  It's a joy sharing His message of love and forgiveness to Samuel, Angelic, Mylene & Angela who were sitting next to us during our lunch in Jollibee.

Samuel and Mylene are christians while Angela and Angelique expressed that they are Roman Catholics in the middle of our gospel conversation. They happen to be in the area because of their CPA Board Exam review. Both Angela and Angelique made the most important decision in life by receiving Jesus in their lives by faith through a prayer that I led them to pray. Samuel and Mylene were assured of their salvation.

And as we ended the gospel presentation through the Four Spiritual Laws (4SL) booklet, they responded positively to the statement, "If this booklet has been meaningful and helpful to you, please share it with someone else." When I asked, how would they respond to it, they thought of sharing it to their friends, roommates and classmates who are doing the CPA review too. I asked them when are they going to share and to whom. I also gave them extra copies of 4SL. I was affirmed that what I did to them was so simple enough for them to transfer the same message to their friends, classmates and roommates -  sharing God's message through the 4SL.

It was good to know also that as I motivated them for further involvement of knowing Jesus more through digital means (FB), they gave me their FB Accounts and cellphone numbers. I look forward to have a follow up discussion with them by exchanging communication online this week.

This journey describes what the bible says in Rom. 10:12-17:
For there is no distinction between the Jew and the Greek, for the same Lord is Lord of all, who richly blesses all who call on him. 13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. 14 How are they to call on one they have not believed in? And how are they to believe in one they have not heard of? And how are they to hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How timely is the arrival of those who proclaim the good news." 16 But not all have obeyed the good news, for Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?" 17 Consequently faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the preached word of Christ.

Also, here's a good reminder: For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart. -Hebrews 4:12

In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus commissioned his disciples and the present believers, " 8 Then Jesus came up and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

I believe that the Great Commission will be fulfilled if everyone has given a chance to hear the gospel, not for everyone to become a Christian.

Our role is to simply step out in faith and share the gospel. It's the goal of the Holy Spirit to convict their hearts of sin.
