Participating in Digital Day of Outreach while on travel

I thought that on Tuesday I would be in the Philippines. As I reviewed my flight schedule, I would still be in the sky for my flight Detroit to Manila with transit in Japan. I don't want to also miss this opportunity to join with my PCCC family as we want to maximize our digital tools and social network by having an outreach together on the same schedule. Yes, indeed it's a good momentum builder as we do ignite building movements together online.

Just this morning at about 9 (Orlando time), while waiting at the airport, I sent a link about the 4SL through FB private messages to about 15 of my relatives who are working abroad. Two of them responded positively. One of them received Jesus as her Lord and Savior after we chatted for a few minutes. I also sent her a PDF file of FU1 for her to read this week and we will talk about it soon. The other one will read the link tonight as she promised with me. I had some interactions with my high school class salutatorian & 1st honorable too, hoping that they will read the message by weekend as they said.

I hope and pray that this launching of DDO will inspire each one of us to really maximize these tools that god has blessed us with. May we all maximize our accounts on FB, twitter, LinkedIn, google+, tumbler, Foursquare, et., to preach the gospel in season and out of season- whether there is DDO or not.

Last month, as you might have heard, Mapua topped the Civil Engineering Exam. The news stated:

"A total of 1,862 out of 4,289 passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi and Lucena this month, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Wednesday.

Harvey Alcantara Malolos of the Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila topped the list of passers with a percentage score of 95:10."

I was curious enough if this topnotcher guy heard the gospel in Mapua and if I met him before since it's only two years ago that I left Mapua for my new assignment. I searched his name in my FB friends list if he is there, but he wasn't. So, I invited him to be one of my friends. Early the following day, I saw a notification that he accepted my request. So I started to chat with him.

Here's our conversation:

Nalds: Congrats, Harvey! Im not sure if I have met you in the past when I was still assigned in Mapua (2006-2012) as a staff of Campus Crusade for Christ. I was meeting most scholars of Mapua before.Anyway, congrats for topping the board Exam. What's your plan now?

Harvey: thank you sir. hmmm. i dont have plans yet. ill be waiting for some great offers.

Nalds: Okay, for sure there would be a lot of offers. Have we met in Mapua?

Harvey: i think so. but i dont remember when and where. :)

Nalds: Had you attended any ccc gatherings?

Harvey: hindi po ako member ng ccc e. hehe.

Nalds: Ah, its ok. Member ka naman ng Scholars of Mapua eh ) Have somebody shared with you about the Four Spiritual Laws?

Harvey: wala pa sir.

Nalds: Ah, talaga? Would you be interested if I'll share it with you? I'll just give you a link.

Harvey: okay lang po sir.

Nalds: May i have your email?
Nalds: I'll send PDF nalang.
Nalds: Just a few pages bro.

Harvey: (sent his email)

Nalds: Just emailed you bro. Please keep in touch with your response.

Harvey: Okay po. Thank you!

Please pray:
1. That he will read the file and understand the message.
2. For God to work in his heart.
3. For him to know Jesus and make Him known to others.
