I had the privilege to disciple during my college years in Western Institute of Technology, Iloilo City. I still have those fresh memories with him and some other guys for our discipleship meetings, bible studies, going out to the school grounds to share the gospel to fellow students, and ( the most daring thing to do) performing evangelistic musical-dance drama during the school's Students' Night - boldly proclaiming the message of love and forgiveness before the 7,000 crowd at the grandstand. Those were the days that I continue to cherish and praise the Lord for! Such a wonderful experience with our living God!
Discipling Rudirick was one of my highlights in the campus ministry. I got to know his family and the community in the middle of the mountains somewhere in Leon, Iloilo. We had memorable times of brotherhood with our disciples in that place--- enjoying the falls, the mountains and of course the people in that community. Through his leadership in the movement, God blessed us to have about 100 students who multiplied spiritually in the lives of others. The campus ministry was also recognized in our campus and we almost had all the club presidents, including the frat leaders join the movement of Christ's followers. In praise God for allowing us to see it happen on campus and to experience His awesome presence in our lives and in the lives of the students we reach out for Him.
After 14 years, God appointed this time for us to meet here in Indo-china. We reminisce those days of our lives in obedience to His call and we continue to look ahead for what God has in store for us. For me, God is enabling me to serve Him through campus ministry across Southeast Asia. I envision to see more lives come to the saving grace of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. For Rud, to be continually used by God in the education sector to help the citizens of this country realize that their permanent residency is in Heaven.
